DR. DEVON HARRIS

Dr. Devon Harris AKA "Plaque Panther"

Dr. Devon Harris aka the Plaque Panther, an Austin native, graduated from Pflugerville High School in 2009. He began his college career playing football for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor from 2009-2010. In 2010, he then transferred to the University of Texas at San Antonio where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2014. During his time at UTSA, Dr. Harris was an active member of the Pre-Dental society, where his love for Dentistry continued to flourish. Dr. Harris also worked part-time in the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Vascular Metallomics Lab, where he co-authored 2 research publications. Dr. Harris began dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in July of 2014. During his time in dental school, Dr. Harris served as President and National Delegate of the Student National Dental Association. He was also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry Fellow-track Program and the American Student Dental Association. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May of 2018.

Dr. Harris enjoys mentoring pre-health students of all ages as well as student-athletes. Dr. Harris is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and he continues to mentor and engage in community service through this organization. He has also participated in many professional organizations, such as the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, National Dental Association and the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Harris is also a certified Invisalign provider for clear tray orthodontic treatment.

In his spare time, Dr. Harris enjoys cooking, fishing, playing and watching football. He also loves spending time with his family, friends, and pets. Dr. Harris is known for his calm demeanor, fun sense of humor, and gentle touch. He is level one sedation certified, offering nitrous or oral sedation services to ensure patient comfort. He is very passionate about his patients and is committed to treating every patient like family. Dr. Harris is young, full of energy, and eager to serve the community he grew up in. Dr. Harris is looking forward to offering his patients an amazing dental experience!
